Alex and Liz had a heartfelt and touching Tampa proposal photography session. Alex proposed in Channelside at a swing with red roses, rose pedals, and champagne. We took portraits around Channelside and when the Florida rain came we got creative with clear umbrellas!
Liz's mom Lauren reached out to me about helping Alex with his proposal to Liz. I was so excited! Alex and Liz’s Tampa proposal photography session was so heartfelt and personal. He proposed in Channelside near the water, an area surrounded with tropical plants with a swing. The swing was special becuase when they were in college they used to swing outside Liz's dorm together. Alex had every detail just right to make this the most special moment for Liz. I communicated with Alex before so I could set it up for him. I set the scene with rose petals in the shape of a heart on the ground in front of the swing and red roses with champagne set on the swing. He wanted them to be standing on a heart as he asked for her hand in marriage. It was the perfect spot, secluded by many towering tropical plants, Liz's favorite!
It was pretty thrilling because I had to take cover among the boats in the marina so they wouldn't see me with my huge lens which I was shooting with across the water. I was super nervous because I hadn't met either of them so I didn't 100% know which couple was them. Every couple I saw I'd get excited. I did however know it was them when I saw them walking hand in hand, Liz in her gorgeous, red, lace dress. When Alex kneeled with the ring in hand, Liz's reaction made it all worth it! I couldn't have asked for a better proposal to photograph.
After the proposal and Liz said yes (of course!) we went around Channelside and took portraits of Alex and Liz and Liz's new bling! It started raining towards the end so I busted out my clear bubble umbrellas and got some rain photos. The rain did not kill the mood though! I can't wait to photograph more Tampa and St. Pete proposals!
