Leila and Stephen have a tropical, rainforest themed Mackay Gardens wedding with actual rain and lots of pineapples!
Photographing the wedding of another photographer is always an awesome feeling, but even better when the couple has such amazing style. Leila and Stephen decided on having a Mackay Gardens wedding in Lake Alfred because of the location and the fact that it’s historical and has an amazing outdoor ceremony option. They also of course involved pineapples which are one of my favorite things on this planet. Leila described the theme as tropical rainforest, and they did get their own rain! It rained during the ceremony all night into the reception. I know this probably sounds like a nightmare to most couples, but we got some really incredible rain photos as a result. Plus not to be obvious, but it went along with their rainforest theme.

How they met:
He was playing guitar in a local hardcore rock band and I was there photographing the band. He literally fell in love with the girl at the rock show
What they wanted guests to think:
They had a blast and that they cried during our vows haha! (As you’ll see below there were definitely a lot of tears)
