Alicia and Miller have a fun Casa Lantana wedding with lots of sunflowers and smiles and one of the best garter retrievals I’ve ever seen!
What started as a friendship, through years blossomed into a passionate love. This is Alicia and Miller’s story told by me. I hope that through these blogs you get to know the couple a little and understand why their wedding day was so special. These two decided on a Casa Lantana wedding because of it’s beautiful forest and private property. They wanted their family to have a lot of fun, let loose and the party to never end. Or at least have them feel like they didn’t want it to end. I can tell you that is exactly what happened. Alicia and Miller are both BURSTING with personality! They told me they would only book with me if I allowed them to call me Reggie. Of course I was ok with that because it’s one of my nicknames!
The whole day was exciting, but here’s what I remember most:
Alicia’s first look with her dad and how he immediately cried, their FSU details, their rainy then not rainy ceremony, their CHOREOGRAPHED first dance was INSANE and of course Miller’s very unique garter retrieval and how Miller saved Alicia from catching on fire during the sparkler exit! You have to see the photos to believe me about all of this.
The ability to be a ray of sunshine! She has the ability to take so many mundane days and situations and make them fun and enjoyable. It’s really a gift.
His smile. I remember at FSU seeing him for the first time and immediately turning to my best male friend to talk about how attractive I thought he was.
One of the most touching ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed, he broke down before he even saw her!
It’s so hard to pick one because she is the absolute best at giving gifts. So good I start to dread holidays and birthdays because no matter what gift I may have, her gift is more thoughtful, sweeter, and better. Her gifts really show that she cares and she does it so consistently it’s hard to choose just one.
His family. I love how much he loves his mother and how he treats her. He love truly loves her unconditionally and would do anything for her. I watch how he sets goals and accomplishes dreams with her in mind. He lives his life to love her and make her proud. It is beautiful.
When he proposed. WOW. I did not think he would be able to surprise me yet he did. I remember my jaw dropping because of how shocked I was. He took me to the Sundy House in Del Ray Beach which in itself is breath taking. He made up an event that was going on and of course I did not do any fact checking. I just got dressed and picked him up at work (which I later found out he didn’t even go to!) All of the details were just so thoughtful. He strung lights in the trees, he brought his speaker so he could play a song special to us, he hired a photographer, he decorated the table… it was truly magical.
Her inability to focus!!! lol I had this super nice speech prepared and she just kept smiling and giggling though it and now she doesn’t even remember what I said! No-redo’s so she’s out of luck!
In two of the photos right above they’re arguing about how many kids they want to have (they’ve already started on their first! yay!) and Miller said this about what is most important to Alicia: “Babies. No wait..Ice cream. Babies eating ice cream? Hmm I don’t know it’s a tie between ice cream and babies.” I died laughing!
